When exporing new oppty's via AC21 with companies:
is it Ok to share copy of one's 140 or 485 document copies?
approval notice copies should be ok (check with company's HR if in doubt). However supporting financial/planning documents of a company may not be ok (that kind of stuff could be confidential to the company)

Do priority dates matter now?
with the deluge of applications that will be filed,will the priority dates matter anymore?
lets say someone with a priority date of Dec 2006 (EB2-ROW) applied for 485 in Feb 2007...will his case be processed before a person with a September 2005 priority date that filed in July 2007 (EB2-India)?
so other than allowing us to file the 485 the priority date has no value?

Can some one reply to my post please. My question is regarding EAD only. Once I apply for EAD and go to India what happens
1. If I am not there while it approved? Can my frnd send me the EAD to India?
2. if I get called for finger printing for EAD and if dont go for it? Will my AOS will be treated as abandoned?

Hey,
I have a 290B pending at Texas which was submitted on 20 Nov 2007. I had a LUD on 27 Nov. Nothing happened after. Based on others experience (in NSC) it is taking about 4 months for something to happen. No clue about TSC. Just sit tight and have a backup plan. Good luck.

This is really major and thanks to reader gg for posting the link. The headlines are likely to be about the benefits to people out of status. C-SPAN, the exclusive video chronicler of Congress, yesterday took a major step to loosen its copyright hold by announcing that it would no longer object to YouTube or bloggers posting its footage from the Hill or from federal agencies online. The content makes up about half the cable channel's programming.
Use of the video footage became awkward recently when Republicans accused Pelosi of "pirating" some clips for her new blog, the Gavel. C-SPAN explained that floor footage is shot by government cameras and that Pelosi was on firm ground using it. But C-SPAN did ask her to take down a clip of a committee hearing shot by a C-SPAN camera.
A C-SPAN spokeswoman said yesterday's action was a nod to the ever-changing technological landscape.

As long as your company is generating Paystubs you are not outofstatus. but if there is an audit and if INS finds that you have not paid then its will be an problem.

hi all,
I've found myself in abit of a predicament. My application for H1B extension is still pending (filed in September) and all I have right now is a Notice of Action from the immigration department.
While waiting, I have been laid off this week... I intend to return back to my home country before my last day (Dec 31).
My question is: Would I be able to make a round trip? That is to say, come back to the US on a tourist visa a week after I got home? I need to come back to sell what I own here and settle other things.
A friend told me that it is better to overstay for however long (maybe an extra week, I don't plan on too long) I need to get my things in order than try to take the chance of coming back. What do you think?
I appreciate any advice you can give.

Say if one has two I-140 and wish to port the priority from the older one to the later one. And if the USCIS does not agree with your filing(maybe they will say the filing is not possible or not portable). What will they do? Will they deny the I-485 or will they just reject the application. If so will it cause an issue when the later priority date is reached and during the application of the following I-485.

I just received the I-140 Receipt Notice and noticed that the section I am filed is not correct Sec.203(b)(1)(c) i.e multi-national Executive or Manger
where as I should have been filed for sec.203(b)(3)(A)(i) or (ii) Skilled Worker or Professionsal
I am going through Substitution process and the Previous I-140 was approved for sec.203(b)(3)(A)(i) or (ii) Skilled Worker or Professional
Now my question is what is the procedure to rectify this ? Also will I hold on to the processing dates {NOT Priority date} (say May 25th) for I-140 or should the lawyer file new appliaction which will push my I-140 petition dates to June?
