Diptam , its been repeatedly said CIR is not law yet , so dont think otherwise and be best wishes that it wont pass in current form. I hope there would be somthing as in case Law cant be retroactive. So cheerup and lets hope for the best.

My H1 extension is under process. I had applied in Dec 2006. My DL expires on May 6. Is it possible to renew my license with the H1 extension receipt?. Is it possible to do Premium Processing now?

I think they have to be current when they get an appointment or something like that. I am pretty sure that they accounted those 18k as CP numbers
Definitely not when you get the appointment. I am 100% certain of that. There have been cases of people going for the consular appointment and not getting it as dates retrogressed.
Only possibility is that the cases up to May were the 66K for 485s PLUS 18K for CP throughout the year until may. Right now noone wanting to get into the system will go for CP.

Looks like in majority end july through August are pending the receipt of AP not to say some of the guys have still got it but they are from various service centers. Very inconstent. This is a document that has no accountability to be completed by X amount of time but we have all paid fees for it. Come vacation time and no AP, we will have to make the trip without the document. Its not that one decides to go to vacation every month. This is a losing deal for us. How do we address this delay? Infopass does not help I was told unless you decide to lie wholesale.

Above is the message, I got it from them. I can't contact my attorney, because that's our company policy. While the HR told me that they will inform me when my PERM gets approved.
Hope after 5 long years , my GC ambition will be completed this time. All the best for rest of the folks!!!

I will be leaving for DC in a couple of hours. Need to pack, get gas tank full, and decide what clothes to iron and ton of other mundane things. Thanks a lot to all those people who participated in this 401K round. If you found these shots, guns and jokes etc. amusing, thank you for your support. If you think it was silly, I appreciate you, for keeping those thoughts private.

Hey make sure that I am right by talking to an attorney. They usually charge $150 for for this suggestion. Please spend that money. If you do not have that money, I will give you a loan. Pay me back once you start working.

18,344 members have zero post.
21,807 members have zero or 1 post.
27,370 members have zero to 10 posts.
That should give an idea how many members are really "active" on IV.
Though IV core is doing a wonderful job as volunteers, no wonder why there is why there are only few active participants. I have asked my friends to join IV (some of them already joined during '07) they say that it is occupied by few senior members and anyone speaks against them or come up with any suggestions, they will
--> update the profile ( I feel that they should update)
--> contribute time and MONEY and there are many seniors who do not update their profile and still didn't donated a dollar....
--> If you speak up loud, you are an anti- and criticize until you leave the thread...
They say that it has become hangout joint for few and they rule...no suggestions from new comers are entertained here...IV is just depending on CIR which is known to fail from all fronts and IV is not working towards smaller bills....

Called them 3 times and everytime the same answer "pending and processing."
Unfortunately my uncle passed away yesteray and I have to travel for the funeral processings. Called USCIS just now and told them to expedite the case. CSR took all the information and told that someone will contact me within 5 business days about case. Hoepfully someone calls/emails and approves my case.
Just wanted to share my experience.

I wish you have PD of 2001/2002. I had the same dream when I came here 8 years ago.
If you are new to US(1-3 years, from the spark in your statements, I feel you are.) with having PD 2003 or later, only the SKIL bill or CIR could rescue you. Othewise, you will be one among 1million in 2011 talking like us.
Its very interesting reading everyone's stories. To me GC represents freedom. Freedom to work for whom you want to, in a field you want to, not to work for someone you don't want to. To start your own buisness, to do all those things which US is known for. This country encourages entrepreneurs and I would like to be one, one of these days :).
