Just Contributed $5 using BofA bill pay.
Guys,
Please stick to $5. The idea is to shake out members who till date have made no contributions into making contributions.
If we start contributing different amounts on this thread then this may dilute the impact of the idea.
Actually I need to ammend for_gc's statement there a little bit.
Please feel VERY FREE to contribute more than $5.00. :)
However please LOG your contribution here ONLY if you have actually made a contribution over and above what you contribute monthly or via paypal or google checkout.

Does any one know about any fee increase for H1B(Extn) premium processing because of border security bill? I have seen the below in immigration-law site.

If anybody thinks that he can file a lawsuit against EB3 to EB2 porting , and he will win , I am pretty sure he is wrong , He is just talking from his heart.
EB3 is screwed, and we have nothing other than hope , Wait Wait Wait.

And the US Consulate's web site at Mumbai has:

So, how come Consulates got the latest information? Why not post this on the DOS page too by the DOS?
I am so sick and tired of this whole process of GC. I am starting to question myself if this entire process of wait, is worth at all? Please support "paskal"(physician) in his efforts as he will be able to liaise with policy makers and influencers in the healthcare segment. iv-physicians.blogspot.com is one such effort- don't let the name dissuade you. 66K plus 60K still only makes 126K, do they still have another 20K or so? How does the math tally here?
I think this all boils down to them wanting to clear the 485 backlog without accepting any more 485s all while not wasting any visa numbers for this year.
In an effort to juggle all these issues, they screwed it all up.
Bottom line is they want to streamline the system such that they don't have "unapprovable" 485s in the system. They have caught on to the way the lawyers and us legal immigrants were filing 485s to get our foot in the door then sitting tight for eons. They simply don't want that. They either want you here on a visa or on a green card straightforwardly. Thats what I am getting from all this.
There are about 18K CP cases.

Just called Senator Mitch McConnel's(R-KY) office. They were receptive to our message. Also, I was told that Senator is taking messages and has NOT taken a stand yet. Will post more if I call more people.

You people seem to be too nationalistic. Even with the comments about quotas. Affiirmative action with 52% of all seats being reserved based on caste? You call this fair?
Ok, so I saw the video. I am confused by his analogy and I am a scientist. Maybe it is the lack of data analysis and graphics he keeps referring to. He is not a great speaker. I stopped watching it midway.
BTW, I am a student from a so called 'garbage' Indian education system and a graduate of Duke University.:p

May I now request contributions from the people who have contributed only once? If you have contributed some time back please consider doing so now.
Also, if you have contributed before and do not plan to contribute now, we would like to know the reason? There is obviously some disillusionment. If you don't feel comfortable posting, feel free to send out a PM. We will try our best to address your concerns. Remember your contribution before the rally is slightly more beneficial for IV.

Yes, They always do that. I did fill that form for my Senator and congressman when they did inquiry for my application in the backlog center.
I sent faxes to my senators and congressman on 2nd july. But haven't heard back from them. When they'll reply they will send me the same form.
I wrote letters to Cornyn and Hutcison about the situation. They have asked me to fill the privacy form authorizing the senator to access my data. Did anyone do this?

Everywhere they mention spillover...they say quarterly. But they don't really enforce it. :mad:
At least , they improved the bulletin by adding more detailed information as well as an explanation about how it works.
USCIS issue GC not more than 9% of quota for eligible quota by each country during each first three quarters. Spill over happens only in last quarter of a fiscal year.

I am a bit curious. How did you manage to stay in same company for 7 years. Or did you do labor transfer or changed company using EAD/AP.
Surprisingly, I have been with my employer since 2000. With all the economic issues going on in 2000/2001 it took us 2 years to file my labor.

If you are stuck at Atlanta PERM backlog center , please email your case number and explain them that your application has been pending for a LONG time and request them to help us get out of this grave situation. Also, please post on this thread after you have sent an email so that others can be motivated to do the same. We need to send as many emails as possible to get any positive feedback. I know that DOL mentioned that they will start processing our applications soon, but we need to keep up the pressure from our end so that it has some positive effect.
I know most of the people on this forum are not in this situation ..... but let's see how many can come out of this selfishness and help others by emailing / phoning DOL Atlanta to help other brothers who want to file AOS just like them...... When phone campaigns / email campaigns happen .... we who are stuck at Atlanta help others tooo... so let's see how many on this form help us now...
