System errors caused a number of Application Support Centers to be overscheduled during the week of July 6-10,
2009. As a result, some applicants may receive cancellation notices for appointments originally scheduled during this
timeframe.
If you do not receive a cancellation notice, please appear at your ASC appointment as scheduled. If you do receive a
cancellation notice, you will soon receive an ASC appointment notice for a new date and time, typically for an
appointment within the next two to four weeks.

We are family of four and have the following status
Self - Adjustment of Status (AOS - 485 filed in July'07), AP, EAD and a valid H1 (renewed recently)
Spouse - AOS 485 (filed in July'07), AP, EAD, H4 expired end of April 2010
Son 14 yrs. old - AOS 485 (filed in July'07), AP, H4 expired end of April 2010
Daughter - 11 yrs old - AOS 485 (filed in July'07), AP, H4 expired end of April 2010
Does my family have valid status? Specially my kids since they don't have EAD. Shall I renew their H4 for valid status? I was in the impression that if 485 is filed then there is no need to renew H4. Please advice me. I am totally confused.

I am working on EAD for a company A (I have approved H1 with company B). i want to maintain both the statuses, can i do that by running the paycheck with H1 company?
You cannot be on H1-B if you are working using EAD.
2)
my fiancee is on H1 status and i want to change her status from H1 to H4 (H1 getting expired). will it be ok as long as i maiting H1 status?

In order to qualify for H-4, the person has to be a legal dependent on the person holding H1-B. AFAIK, fiancee is not legally a dependent.

Friends - anyone here who has applied in PERM where job required B.S + 2 - 4 yrs of experience? Mine is a Job zone 4(sr. software engineer), requires B.S + 30 months and in the PERM form the lawyer has entered 'No' to H12 question 'Is this normal requirements'. Were they right? Or should I be worried? Anybody can share any experience? Thanks!

Hi,
I'm presently in J-2 visa and my husband is having J-1 visa.
We both are Indian Nationals. My husband applied for J-1 visa when he was in Germany.
It is mentioned in my husband's Visa clearly that "Two Year rule does NOT apply".
3 months later, I applied for J-2 from India with his visa documents.
In my visa also, it is mentioned that "Bearer is NOT subject to section 212(E). Two Year rule does NOT apply".
Now, we both want to apply for H-1B visa seperately. I want to know whether do we need to apply for H-1B waiver?
It is very much confusing since we are Indian nationals, the two year rule applies. But at the same time, as he was in in Germany while applying, it does not apply as mentioned in the visa.
Please clarify. Thanks in advance.
