Why don't you listen to others on this forum? No one is out to screw H-1s and/or GC aspirants as far as the rebate is concerned. Read the previous post by gg10004. The law is not differentiating between a H1 and GC aspirant or a US citizen if none of them have a valid SSN. It is just unfortunate that H4s do not get SSNs. So stop getting paranoid.
Moreover, your response that your title "No Stimulus Package to H1's and GC Aspirants - Again We Loose 1200$" is justified because titles are not for stories or whatever makes you look like an utter idiot. Titles are for accurately reflecting the gist of the thread. If you have an issue with adding 5 more words to reflect the reality, then add only one word: "No Stimulus Package to SOME H1's and GC Aspirants - Again We Loose 1200$".

I can organize weekly Conf. call, but I would need some initial input from IV Core Team about its activities. I also need to understand what were SoCal chapter targets and if any progress has been made. Maybe 485Mb4001 or Amit can guide on this?

If anyone else wants to come forward pls. do so and take charge. Communicate with the northern CA foks and organize a combined call or seperate call. We need someone to take a leadership role in this chapter at this time. Contact each and every member in this thread and bring them together to work on IV agenda items as outliined on the link on IV homepage for chapters.

It is easy and potentially justifiable to feel some frustration. As it relates to the green card, I am in a similar situation to most who visit and share their views on this board.
I view the Universe and everything that is contained therein to be perfect - there can be no imperfections. I find comfort in that thought and focus my attention on the following:

According to the State Department, from October 1, 2006 through May 30, 2007, the USCIS requested and was authorized the total EB visa numbers of 66,426. Between June 1 and the first few days of July (?), the USCIS requested and was authorized over 60,000 EB visa numbers, in approximately one month. Since it has been made clear by the USCIS that during the last weekend of June (2 days) the USCIS approved 25,000 EB 485 applications, apparently over 40,000 visa numbers were requested and authorized before the weekend. Obviously the 60,000 plus cases must thus have been approved (?) in one month

I already done that yesterday evening: Today I talked to both offices. Yesterday I just sent web form (E-Mail)... I could not speak to senators personally as both were unavailable but I spoke to their office staff and both have listened me and have guranteed to make sure this reaches to senator's eyes and ears.

My Certified Mail to Ombudsman was actually delivered at DC on Sep 2nd 7:52 AM. Today is Sep 16th , so far no reply.

It is 2.25 pm and I still can't access the webcast. It was working fine 1h ago or so...
